Copper Turquoise is initially an original turquoise stone, the striking blue stone undergoes a process of introducing copper metals, which gives it the coppery, blue, green matrix that we identify as copper turquoise today. The stone is said to represent wisdom, good fortune and profound power to protect. Even after many moons turquoise still stays beautifully fashionable and is still believed to bring us good thoughts and fortune!
Turquoise is among the worlds eldest jewellery dating back to Ancient Egyptian times where the turquoise was found buried in their tombs and used to display good wealth. Ancient Egyptians called turquoise ‘mefkat’ meaning ‘joy and ‘delight’. It wasn’t until the stone began to travel to Europe through Turkey where it adopted it’s name ‘Turquoise’ from the French word ‘turquois’ meaning ‘Turkish’.
To create our jewellery we only use natural semi precious gemstones, due to the stones being natural they will differ slightly from one another, making each stone completely unique to you!
